Following my review about the 12 effects Incredible Milk which had some followers enquire about it, Milk Shake Malta and Cortex Ltd kindly sent me a product to review this month – Milk_shake Integrity Incredible Oil – which claims to be a protective and reparative oil for a damaged hair or hair with split ends.
Packaging is not yellow and white like the rest of the products. It comes in bronze and gold packaging and the bottle is a glass one. This is because it is considered as one of the luxury products in the range. I’m intrigued.
How does it work?
The information about it says that the oil works as a heat protectant and that it is designed to protect against heat from blow dryers, straighteners or other styling irons. Perfect! Since I blow dry my hair twice a week and straighten it with my Dafni Brush quite often in between, this fits into my hair lifestyle requirements just perfectly.
So I try it to see how it works on my hair
I tried it during styling to see how it made my hair feel and if it is easy to use. I sectioned my clean hair and sprayed some evenly in my hair and blowdried my hair as I usually do. I felt that it added moisture and manageability to the hair and therefore it should prevent unwanted split ends. It claims to seal the cuticle so the hair looks even more shiny when finished.
What I liked about it is that albeit an oil, it has a light formula that quickly penetrates the hair without being oppressive and weighing down on the hair. When you have fine hair like mine, you do not want any products to reduce the volume. On the contrary, you want volume and shine and bounce right?. I got that with this product.
In the long run, I yet have to see how I do with split ends and hair treatment in general and I will keep you updated. But using it these past 3 weeks, so far so good!
