A Visit to Karamelli Brunch Cafe in Gozo

If you’re looking to escape the hustle and bustle of busy life in Malta, you don’t have to veer far to find a little slice of calm in Gozo. All-day brunch café Karamelli is a three-minute walk from the bus station and serves up a cracking breakfast, brunch and delightful bites every day of the week.

We visited yesterday for our first time and wow were we impressed with it. This venue has been open for business about six months and people have been talking about it, in a good way. Nothing better than word of mouth to get yourself respected and known to locals and tourists alike! The décor is welcoming, the staff are very friendly and professional from the moment you walk in till the moment you leave.

There are plenty of inexpensive options on the menu, including a heavenly Berrious Smoothie for 6 euros, Bacon, Cheese and Egg Toast for 3 euros. My personal choice, as you can see in the video and posts was the “Bennadict” egg served with bacon, avocado and salmon on a toasted brioche with avocado and hollandaise sauce. Even better, the portions are super generous so you really do feel like you’re getting plenty of bang for your buck. My friends and family members ordered various items including the Carbonara Pasta, the Salmon Salad and also their inhouse burgers look tasty and satisfying! The Menu is varied as they serve Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch and Dinner items as well as some Gozitan specials like the Gozitan Thang including sundried tomatoes, rucola, Maltese sausage and friend peppered cheeselets!
Id like to also highlight that the dessert items are all made fresh daily from scratch by their inhouse Chef – delicious! Well we had a fab time and enjoyed the experience very much. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Gozo this season!

Much Love
