We have just returned home in Malta from a relaxing weekend break in Gozo, and I only have beautiful things to say about the properties we stayed at. One of the properties we experienced this weekend was The Duke Boutique Hotel situated on the 4th and 5th Floor of the Duke’s Shopping Mall in Victoria, Gozo.
We booked for a suite and were upgraded to a Jacuzzi room Junior Suite overlooking the skyline with the Citadella in full view. If you were following our weekend on Instagram stories @graziellecamilleri, you would have seen how lovely our room was 😉
Our suite had a gorgeous décor and all the amenities one would expect of a luxury hotel like this one.
Terrace Rooms with Jacuzzi® Hot Tub
All their Terrace Rooms have a Private Terrace with a Jacuzzi® Hot Tub enjoying views of Victoria’s skyline. Each room is unique in layout with twin or king sized beds. Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and heating for individually controlled room temperatures, minibar, telephone, tea and coffee making facilities, flat screen 42″ TV, ionic hairdryer 2000w, laptop safe with electric outlet, international wall sockets, USB ports and free high speed WIFI.
Bathrooms feature rain shower heads, shower or bathtub, plush robes, slippers and a magnifying mirror. Complimentary toiletries and amenities are also available in each room. Private terraces are equipped with sunbeds, sunshades and pool towels.
In our case, because our six year old daughter Luna and her favourite collection of soft toys, were travelling with us, we asked for an extra bed and it was just perfect for her. Luna loves travelling with us. Her favourite thing to do is placing her clothes in the wardrobes when we check in, and she is very keen about Breakfasts. In this case, her favourite feature was the Jacuzzi outdoors which we enjoyed both at night time and early morning before breakfast!!
From what we observed, the rooms and corridors were spotlessly clean with very good housekeeping. The reception & restaurant staff were extremely welcoming & helpful, nothing was too much trouble. It is Covid Times and this hotel also has very good Covid protocol in place which was adhered to by both guests & staff alike.
We enjoyed a varied and tasty breakfast with nice local delicacies.
All in all, a fab hotel in a central location which allows the traveller to have quicker access to the main shopping centre, bars and restaurants, the local market and also the Citadella a few minutes walk away.
We loved our stay. Pity, it was so short! Well, an opportunity to revisit in the winter months I guess.
