Summer Fever with Skechers Flex Appeal

With June winding down, we might all need that little extra push to keep our New Year’s resolutions going! However, more frequent outings to cocktail bars, parties and ice cream parlours in this gorgeous weather in Malta doesn’t help my wish to stay slim, so the fact that I exercise on a regular basis is keeping my resolution alive. When contacted by the Sketchers distributors in Malta, of course I was super excited to review the new Skechers’ Flex Appeal 2.0. So here it goes!

I went to their flagship store in Bay Street Malta to choose my new pair. How exciting! First of all, I was surprised at the endless options, colours and styles available for women, men and children, not only for running but also for walking and other outdoor activities. There is everything from the most modest of colours to the in-your-face prints and neons. Whatever your workout style is, you’re sure to find something you like in this casual segment. I chose those the dark blue ones with the bright pink touches because they are colours I don’t have in my collection and I thought they would match quite a few casual items in my closet.

My first impression:

– Very sleek and stylish
– Super lightweight

This pair came with blue laces, but Skechers was kind enough to also include a pair of hot pink laces which I prefer! I loved that little extra customisation option. It was a pleasant surprise. I wear a size 36 so I tried them on and they fit me perfectly.

I wear these shoes for walks and jogs in the countryside, for sprint walks along the seafront promenade and also for workouts at Cynergi Fitness Centre

During a workout:
– Super light and comfortable
– Supportive arches
– The memory foam was awesome

On a typical trip to the gym for a cardio workout, I will spend about 15 to 20 minutes on cardio. This part of the workout you always want to have very light and comfy shoes so that the workout feels less of a big deal. Thinking smart here. They were so light, I felt like I didn’t have anything on my feet. The memory foam also gave amazing support. Well done Skechers for creating these super cool features in shoes to provide better breathability, lightweight options and flexibility!

– Memory foam is an A+ – check them out!

I definitely recommend these shoes to anyone in search of a reasonably priced, stylish and comfortable pair of athletic shoes.
