Salini Resort and a Weekend Break in the Executive Suite

This weekend my family stayed at the Salini Resort. It’s our second time visiting this resort. This time, we got to experience an Executive Suite!

We arrived at the hotel at around 4.30 pm on Friday 24th February for our check-in. The welcome was lovely and the check-in very swift and smooth. We were welcomed by the receptionists as well as the operations Manager, Antoine Zammit  who took a mental note,  that it was my husband’s birthday that day, and immediately to our surprise, had a delicious red velvet birthday cake sent to the room for sunset alongside some champagne. He also kindly made arrangements for us for a dinner reservation the following day at their well renowned restaurant Vecchia Napoli.

We were so excited to see the room. As many of you saw in my Instagram Stories @graziellecamilleri, the room is exquisite. Perched on the 5th Floor of this property nestled in a peaceful seafront location, it was a treat! A very large room with dimensions the size of a large apartment with its own private terrace overlooking the seafront.

As you enter the stylish living room area, you cannot help but notice the bright and airy space of the room. We opened the door to find a welcome note and some complimentary snacks. That evening we enjoyed a drink on the spacious terrace for sunset, while taking in spanning views of the Mediterranean sea. This Executive Suite is extremely spacious, especially with the large terrace alongside it and providing that extra touch of lavishness that can turn a great holiday into a memorable one.

Furnished with a luxurious king-sized bed and VIP amenities, all their Executive Suites include a convenient kitchenette, a dedicated coffee machine and complimentary Wi-Fi access, which we love. I also like that the large bathroom offers both a bath and a shower. I do love a relaxing bath or jacuzzi while my husband prefers showers!

My daughter Luna too joined us, so an extra bed was prepared for her. It always makes her feel special to have her own space for herself and all the cuddly soft toys she brings along to every trip, be it Malta or overseas!

Dinner at Vecchia Napoli

On Saturday night, we had to visit their famous restaurant Vecchia Napoli at the Salini Resort. This time we tried different things on the menu and once again we were not disappointed. From salads to rabbit in stew to pizzas and pasta dishes, it is no wonder that this restaurant is always fully booked at the weekends with both locals and hotel guests. Not only is the cuisine very well designed and presented, but the staff are very friendly, alert and child-friendly!

BREAKFAST

Breakfast was amazing every morning. A wide buffet selection of sweet and savoury cuisine including eggs cooked in no less than four ways, cheeses, bread, fruit, salads, yoghurts, juices and two coffee machines available on a self service basis.

We love our breakfasts in hotels and we always look forward to a good one like this!

This was a very pleasant break.

We highly recommend this hotel and we will undoubtedly return in summer. Which room will it be next? Well maybe we ll try out the Penthouse Suite – the one with the private pool.

Much love
Xxx
