Red cocktail dresses @ one 80 kitchen & lounge launch party

This Month saw the official launch party of a new venue in Malta – one 80 Kitchen & lounge in Mellieha. I was invited to be a hostess for a few hours and of course enjoy the party afterwards!

Guests arrived on the red carpet to the new establishment greeted by Campari cocktails and a selection of fine wines. There was a gorgeous classic car on display. This vehicle will be used to transport guests from some nearby hotels as of August.

Throughout the evening, we savoured a selection of canapes, small tasty bites from the main menu dishes and what I loved the most were the infused gin cocktails topped with melted marshmallows. I enjoyed quite a few of those! 

The Look

For this event, myself and guest hostess Janice Darmanin wore two gorgeous red dresses from the new collection at BBY Malta in Valletta. We had our hair styled in a sleek ponytail and we both wore elegant stiletto heels for that chic touch. This event required an elegant watch and thanks to a new collaboration with Henry London watches at Sunlab Malta, I wore this elegant gold one to ensure everything was on schedule.

We were very comfortable greeting guests and we also got to enjoy the party including top-notch entertainment by Vinny Vella Trio Band accompanied by the talented local singer Andreana Debattista afterwards!

About one 80 Kitchen & Lounge

Situated on the way down from Mellieha centre to Mellieha Bay, one80 enjoys a stunning 180 degree panoramic view stretching from the majestic parish church sitting on the top of the hill down to the opulent greenery of ‘Wied ta’ Ruman’ and onto the largest sandy beach of the island, Mellieha Bay. That is where the venue gets its name.

This outlet is perfectly positioned for a quick lunch before or after visiting the beach or simply enjoy a jazz night with friends on a Thursday evening. The dining area features distinctive dishes by a specialised team of chefs in a relaxed, yet stylish ambiance. You will find an a la carte menu including a selection of meat, pasta and fish dishes and there is also a bar menu including platters to enjoy with cocktails or the large selection of wines on offer.

This place is an asset to Mellieha. It is a high quality venue for that guaranteed great experience. Attention to detail is given at all times by the team here including Rouvin Zammit Apap and Jesmond Vella who have between them decades of experience in the food and beverage and 5 star hospitality industry. I love a good party and I look forward to visit it again very soon!
