Famous for its vibrant nightlife, sun kissed beaches and stunning locations, Malta certainly had one more memorable fashion event to staple this year in its best highlights! The PINK Fashion Show Summer Edition 2017 certainly offered all persons present a tiny taste of Mediterranean summers in Malta and the season’s hottest fashion trends, all this at the revamped Ray’s Lido in Armier on Thursday 15th June.
I arrived there with my friend Desiree just before sunset wearing a bright green Plein Sud dress from The Luxury Outlet, yellow shoes from Desiree Fashion Design, gold accessories from 202 Jewellery and a Michael Kors purse from Rebelli. We met so many other fashion conscious men and women, fellow bloggers, influencers and so many beautiful people who love this event and make sure to attend it year after year. It has now become a very sought after event and it gets hotter and better every time!
Kicking off at sunset with stunning models jumping off a sexy superyacht onto jet skis, then onto the sandy beach runway to cool tunes being played by the DJ; You know when this type of organisation takes place, you are in for a treat. 30 models carefully selected for their unique looks and perfect bikini bodies showcased the summer collections by the different brands and participating outlets. Their sleek hairstyles were the work of Screen Professional Hair Salons Malta, while their radiant, sunkissed make-up look was applied by a talented team of Guerlain make-up artists.
We saw the models wearing clothes and accessories by Calzedonia, O’hea Opticians, Joseph Ribkoff, Furla, Ipanema, Stefania’s, Optika Opticians, Carla Grima Atelier, Coccinelle, Orsay, Dor Boutique and Rebelli. I had several favourites from each collection especially the glamorous caftans by Dor Boutique, the Versace Jeans range and Michael Kors swimwear by Rebelli, the orange patterned dresses by Carla Grima and the pretty bags by Coccinelle. All in all very classy clothes and summery accessories in various styles, fabrics and colours that make you just want to relax and enjoy summer all the more in Malta or other exotic places!
In my personal opinion, with the beach theme at Ray’s Lido, the variety of brands styled by the talented stylists, and the interactive after-show displays organised on the sandy beach afterwards, this was one of my favourite PINK events to date – and the fact that I found my very own name tag on the front row seats to be able to view it all up close made me feel super special! Thank you for your warm welcome PINK! Much appreciated xxx
From these photos by Carlo Jourdan and Justin Ciappara , you can get a tiny taste of what we witnessed. Well done to all the team behind PINK Magazine who dedicate a great deal of time and positive energy to put together this much awaited fashion event on Malta’s fashion calendar. As they say in Italian “alla prossima” (until the next time)!
The event was supported by Barcode, Beretta, Campari, Chemimart, Diet Kinnie, Inside Out Design Finishes, Interior Outfitters, Magnum, Nero Giardini, Paco Rabanne, Palatino Camilleri Wines, Pandora, Renault, San Carlo, Ted Baker, Tettiera and Vichy.
