A collaboration with Gozo Picnic
Hi everyone and welcome back to my Blog! We are falling in love with Gozo every time we visit and this month we discovered that there is a super service in Gozo by this company called Gozo Picnic, which allows you to enjoy a lovely experience – a tailor-made, organised picnic set up for you wherever you wish in Gozo. Listen to this – all you have to do is turn up on location, relax and enjoy the view and the company. How’s that for a great idea!!
Most people would agree that the excitement of deciding to have a picnic is often stifled by the reality of shopping for and preparing the food! Which is a shame as having a picnic is a great thing to do on Gozo, and this lovely island has some amazing picnic spots.
So, we were delighted to discover there is a company on Gozo that does all the hard work for you. After all, the only thing better than the experience of eating delicious home-cooked food in the gorgeous Gozo countryside is not having to make it yourself!
Ana Kisling has been running this business for about 3 years and she does it with so much love and passion. It really comes through in the presentation and service of her product.

Gozo produces amazing, organic fresh produce and by discovering the best butchers and places to shop on Gozo, Ana also made friends with local suppliers. For instance, the Dreams of Horses Farm near Xaghra keeps chickens and goats and she makes sure she buys fresh goat’s cheese and eggs from them. She also tries to work with seasonal foods when they are at their best – such as Lampuki (local fish) in autumn and strawberries in spring.
Gozo Picnic offers a variety of menus which can be found on the FACEBOOK PAGE
For example:
*Mediterranean Picnic: comprising a great range of local antipasti such as gbejna (local goat’s cheese), sundried tomatoes, olives etc. Plus II-Hobz tal-Malti (locally baked bread), a pasta salad and homemade tiramisu.
*Tokyo Picnic (gluten free): comprising a range of rice rolls and sesame noodle dishes and a coconut milk pudding.
*Indian Picnic (vegan): comprising some delicious Indian snacks.
Ana is experienced enough to tailor a picnic to suit a client’s requirements so you don’t have to worry, Gozo Picnic will take care of all your dietary needs.
We absolutely loved the food and the entire experience. Our picnic experience last week was set up in Mgarr in an inlet close to the Mgarr Harbour. We found everything set up beautifully. All we had to do was sit and enjoy.
My daughter Luna loves picnics in general so this one was truly professional and special in her eyes. She loved all the details of the picnic chest, the colourful crockery and even lights for when the sun set!
As a big surprise we had the honour of a saxophone player Jim Davies who is also living in Gozo and can be booked for special picnics such as birthdays or perhaps a Wedding Proposal as an additional service to the picnic.
All you need to do is ask and all will be taken care of!
So as you can see from the pictures, we loved everything about this and we highly recommend Ana’s services!
