Last week I was invited to visit Villager by Munchies restaurant in Mellieha, with the objective of experiencing it and sharing some posts on my socials. As you saw on my Instagram posts and Instagram Stories @graziellecamilleri I took the opportunity and visited this venue with Denis, a close friend of mine.
It was a fantastic opportunity for us to dine together and catch up on what we ve been up to lately and we got to celebrate the fact that Denis has been shortlisted in the Top 3 of an international competition Mister Supra Star Search and we’re crossing our fingers that he will be a finalist to represent his country Macedonia!
My Thoughts about Villager by Munchies
I did like that the restaurant, located in Mellieha is situated quite close to the main Mellieha square close to the Mellieha church and the play area for children, with quite easy to park areas for both cars and motorcycles.
The décor is warm, elegant and classy so it is an attractive place for a get-together with friends or a romantic date with your loved ones. The walls are royal blue, lots of light indoors from the large glass windows and classy touches. Part of the pleasant experience of any restaurant, in my opinion, in the ambiance and I enjoyed the feel of this one. The staff and the management are very friendly and attentive and all the Covid measures are strictly followed for everyone’s safety and enjoyment.
I loved that the fresh fruit and vegetables used by the chefs for the menu are on display in a glass counter inside alongside the mouthwatering fresh pastries and cakes of the day.
BREAKFAST MENU TO DIE FOR
The Menu is Mediterranean cuisine including pizza, burgers and platters to share. Word of mouth has it that they are most famous for their Breakfast Offerings including Egg & Bacon Muffin Buttered toasted muffin, topped with scrambled eggs, and grilled bacon, set on a bed of marinated tomato carpaccio. They have a Healthy Breakfast option including a Multigrain focaccia served with scrambled eggs, fancy salad leaves and Scottish smoked salmon. Another popular yummy option is the Sweet & Savoury Thick American pancakes topped with grilled bacon and maple syrup!
PLATTERS TO SHARE
One other thing worth shouting about is their good value Platters to Share for 2 persons. As seen in my photos the quality of the items in the platters including the sauces was excellent. We enjoyed this platter paired with a red bottle of wine and we had a great evening.
