Hi there and welcome once again to my Blog! Lately, I have been obsessing with the colour yellow; In clothes, home furnishings, flowers, while colouring with my daughter in her colouring books, I am just attracted to that colour a lot lately! Can’t explain it. Does that happen to you with a particular colour. Perhaps it’s because it’s the colour I attach to joy, warm and solar energy, a colour that brightens up any dark patches or shadows, a warm reflection of happy thoughts and passion. Perhaps it’s my energy chakra at its strongest at this time of year!
This week I was invited to attend the InterContinental Malta and Holiday Inn Express Malta Summer Event held at SKYBEACH on the gorgeous rooftop. It was the same day of a filming session for my TV Programme Acceler8 so I had to think in advance to take a change of clothes with me for this fabulous event.
The dress, truth be told is not an expensive dress. Maybe it cost me about 30 euros? It is a dress I had made by a dressmaker from a fabric purchased by a friend during her travels in India! The gold leather belt was one I got from Rome during a weekend getaway with my husband. I think, in this particular case, it was the jewellery, the hair and make up that completed this luxurious, exotic summer look, to meet the vision I had in mind that evening.
Sometimes, it’s not how expensive the dress is that makes you look wonderful, but it’s how you style it with the other things and carry it with pride and grace. Of course I love wearing designer things but sometimes I like to be creative with what I have in the closet and try to make it work, especially when I have two events a day this time of year, I have to come up with outfits from things I perhaps haven’t used in years. Just being honest here.
New General Manager appointed at Intercontinental Malta – Who is he?

The summer event at SKY BEACH this year was not only very well organised by the team, as always, in celebration of the summer season ahead, but it called for a double celebration. It was an opportunity for InterContinental Malta team to welcome officially in full 5 star style the arrival of the New General Manager Mr Bebera on board.
Mr Bebera has worked in a number of InterContinental hotels and properties all around the world, including InterContinental Berlin, David InterContinental Tel Aviv, InterContinental Kiev and IHG Head Office in London.
In his previous role as GM of InterContinental Bucharest, Bebera was primarily responsible for managing hotel operations and maintaining the service excellence that is synonymous with the InterContinental Brand, creating “great hotels guests love”, and now wishes to continue this legacy at InterContinental Malta.
I had the pleasure of meeting him for a few minutes during the party and I managed to snap this lovely poolside photo with him for the social media competition that evening using the hashtag “#NEWGMONBOARD”. I must say that his energy feels explosive in terms of achieving great things for Malta and his team; He also sounds like he’s got a great sense of humour, which is fantastic and infectious, and I just love that in a person. Good humour is a gift that helps keep people smiling through even the most difficult of times, so let’s all wish him once again the best of luck for his new venture and his new family adventures in life – and I’m sure we will be meeting him again in the near future!
