We have just returned from a mini family getaway in Gozo. I’m feeling re energised, and grateful for the lovely experience at The Segond Hotel, a gorgeous hotel nested in the heart of Xaghra, Gozo.
This hotel that just opened its doors by Smart Group Malta , offers 51 elegant and comfortable rooms and suites. We were allocated a spacious, well lit family suite with two separate rooms, so that little Luna and also mum and dad could enjoy some privacy.
We checked in at around 12 noon and were greeted by an elegant Concierge and front office manager Paula, who also led us up to the room with our suitcases.
The room was beautiful and had all the amenities you would expect in a 4 star hotel including excellent WI FI, something that is always very important for myself, my husband and my daughter too! Our unit also had a balcony leading into a courtyard. We had a stylish bathroom with a shower and crispy white towels and blue cups.
Rooms
The room design at The Segond Hotel is new and modern encompassing delicate stylish elements. Rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. Organic products are selected for both your body and hair care.
Breakfast
The breakfast here is good and is a mix of Western and Mediterranean items along with fruit juices, cereal, bakery items, and cooked items.
Dinner at The Francie
For the evening, new style of restaurant at the Francie, where you can choose from a variety of Mediterranean Fusion cuisine, with chef specials depending on the day and the occasion or special theme. I enjoyed a rib eye steak served with peppered mushroom sauce while Marco enjoyed sharing a mix of starters together. Loved everything about it and with the serving staff that were so alert and friendly, we all felt relaxed and at ease, dining in a great environment. The dessert ( as seen in my pic below) are to die for!
So yeah, we really enjoyed our short stay at this hotel in Gozo and we do recommend it for those of you looking for a hotel in the coming months!
