Hi everyone! Hope you are enjoying your week wherever you are. I am having quite an interesting one in Malta actually! As an official blogger behind the scenes of Malta’s Eurovision Song Contest 2018, I have been visiting the Mediterranean Conference Centre, the main venue, every single day this week interviewing singers, dancers, hosts and other key persons involved in this huge event. Coffee time wearing River Island
This means that this week, I need to look as stylish and comfortable as possible to be able to work comfortably in the huge conference centre. I have been meeting lots of the finalists before or after their first rehearsals on stage, and I am just enjoying the experience with all its exciting preparations under way.
Statement jackets are items I love every season because they are the easiest option to make you look stylish and polished. This winter, I have made it a point to upgrade my closet with a few new ones and this one by River Island is one of them.
Ask any stylish woman what her good trick is to look fab most days and her answer will be a simple one: a great statement jacket. A well-cut or striking outer layer is the last thing you put on but the first thing others see, so it makes sense to ensure that it’s a piece, regardless of what you’re wearing underneath. Even if you’re rushing around on errands or doing the school run in jeans, joggers, its eye-catching print effortlessly transforms the plainest of looks.
The Look
I love this metallic print statement by River Island. I like the style and the colour scheme too. It’s cool and smart at the same time. Very me! Here I styled it with black skinny jeans and a white silk shirt and black stilettos. Photographed in my balcony at home grabbing a coffee and touching my lipstick before I rushed out again to an appointment! For backstage I will change to flat shoes to be able to run around super comfortably!
