Yes! You heard correctly! A wild place to shop and dine has opened its doors in Malta – The Rainforest Cafe franchise. Located in some of the most notable cities in the world including London, Niagara Falls, Tokyo and Paris, Rainforest Cafe the jungle-themed restaurant chain offers diners an overall adventurous experience as it is designed to transport patrons deep into a tropical rainforest, including plant growth, mist and waterfalls.
Luna and I were invited to the exclusive launch event held on Wednesday 28th July.
And now at Bay Street in Malta, a visit will transport patrons to a tropical rainforest where they will come face-to-face with life-size figures of rainforest animals including tigers, snakes, crocodiles, frogs, and beautiful tropical birds.
Diners also get the opportunity to witness ‘thunderstorms’ while enjoying a delicious meal.
My 6-year-old daughter Luna and myself were honored to be invited on this very special opening day, to be one of the first witnesses and customers at Rainforest Cafe!
The aim is to create an exceptional customer experience through a one-stop destination for quality dining, shopping, hospitality, leisure, business and services. The opening of Rainforest Cafe will continue to add to this holistic customer experience, making each visit to our shopping complex a memorable one.
In addition to the Malta location, Rainforest Cafe will open a new location in the United Arab Emirates. With the addition of these locations, Rainforest Cafe now boasts 24 locations around the world.
It is wonderful to see the expansion of the Rainforest Cafe franchise arrive on the island of Malta. Our franchise has now expanded to seven countries with their restaurants across the globe.
Local actress, TV presenter and producer Clare Agius has been announced as the face of the Rainforest Cafe in Malta for the launching. “I am truly excited to be the ambassador of Rainforest Cafe. The Malta location in St Julians’ will truly be a fun and educational way to spend time with the family. Children and adults alike can enjoy a delicious meal while immersed in a tropical forest ambience.”
On the opening night, we enjoyed a tour of the place and we sat down for a lovely dining experience. I loved the Mai Tai cocktail served by the delightful Kimberley, a member of staff originally from Colombia. Kimberley gave us a tour of the place and was great at keeping Luna entertained with her questions and jokes. The food we ordered was excellent. I ordered the Parmesan Chicken served with penne on the side, while Luna enjoyed her all time fave Chicken nuggets served with separate fries.
We loved the experience and highly recommend you try it if you are in Malta!
Be it for children or adults who are very young at heart, it s a fun experience.
Well done to all involved and thank you for making this happen, in times that are somewhat challenging for the hospitality and restaurant industry!
