When it comes to clothes, I do like my classic items as much as I like the very up-to-the-minute ones. Classic basics are the best items to spend your money on because they never go out of style and they’re extremely versatile, meaning you will definitely get your money’s worth. One of my favourite options is a striped shirt meaning that each season I find myself buying a new one to have that fresh off the yacht look in minutes.
Now, I’m sure you hear some ladies saying that stripes are not flattering unless you’re slim or if you have big breasts. You know what I say? Hold your horses. The right striped shirt is the absolute best for any shape or size when styled correctly.

Classic items do make up the foundation of our wardrobe. So, we really cannot omit the nautical stripe shirt—an iconic piece with a staying power so strong that it has surpassed trends, seasons, decades, and even centuries since its origins can be traced all the way back to the French navy in the 1880s.
Details of My Look
In this blog I am so excited to show you this look! I just bought this entire outfit from CORTEFIEL at Baystreet Shopping Complex in Malta. The striped top, the jeans, the gold shoes and the oh so gorgeous gold cross-bag are all from the new spring/summer 2018 collection and I’m so happy with them! I accessorized them with Michael Kors sunnies from Vision Opticians and went for a red lip day glam make up look.
These photos were captured in the Portomaso Marina alongside Hilton Malta with some beautiful Sunseeker yachts and other beauties which we look forward to chartering this summer with Yacht Hub Group! Who’s looking forward to see those blog posts?!
To conclude, these days, even the stars and celebrities are taking the striped theme look, the 100-plus-year-old style and giving it new life with modern-day silhouettes. Some are styling them with denim and flats, while others are going chic with the all-white ensemble or a sexy pair of stilettos and a killer designer bag. It depends where they are heading and what the occasion requires I guess!
