Lunch at one80 Kitchen and lounge.

Earlier this week I was invited to experience lunch at one80 Kitchen and lounge. If you recall from my blogs Red Cocktail Dresses and the Spotlight on Henry London, I have been to this new establishment when it just opened its doors last month. The managers Rouvin and Jesmond are now following my blog and have asked me to try out the lunch menu to share the experience with my followers.

I very happily accommodated and invited my girlfriends Christine, Fallon and Rebecca to to join me. This way we could be able to see and taste different things on the menu and just have a girly lunch together with beautiful views of the Mellieha church and the valley below and the Mellieha beach in the distance.

The first thing you notice is that the staff are extremely alert and friendly, dressed in a very cool uniform with colours to match the venue’s image. I love these little details! We ordered a mix of mouth-watering items to share including a daily fish special – the Pan fried monk fish with calamaretti, a 300grms beef patty, Maltese sausage, smoked Scamorza, fig jam served with a bacon barbecue sauce and hand cut fries. We tasted a slow cooked chicken supreme salad with beans, olives and crispy pancetta and a Ccharcuterie plank, a platter including a selection of artisan salamis and cured meats and Scotch egg served with our bread and pickles.For drinks, we were all in the mood for some Aperol Spritzers!

All these dishes were as delicious as they look in the photos, so needless to elaborate, we really enjoyed a perfect lunch in Mellieha. If you have not been to this restaurant, it is situated in the hill driving up towards the Mellieha Church from the beach front. You will see a large sign to your left if you are driving up, to your right if you are driving down from the church.
