Embracing my new Chamilia Charm

Hi All. Hope you are having a good week. I’m well, gliding through my first working week of the year, meeting new and existing clients at my marketing business, catching up with my little team and started producing new work projects for 2017 as per schedule. I also have had a little of bad news as a member of the family has been taken to the intensive care unit at hospital last night, my mum’s twin sister, and for that reason we are all worried.

We are not quite sure she is going to make it through another few days of life. I write here because it helps me to feel better to say it. Like running and dancing, writing my feelings makes me feel better. I hope she does get through this bad health patch, but it seems pretty critical. We are just hopeful but it is beyond our control. All we can do is pray and give moral support.

Today I had in mind to share with you this pretty charm I just got at the weekend from my friends at 202 Jewellery in Sliema but I will do it in a different way. If you remember in my blog post I TELL MY STORY WITH CHAMILIA, I had shown you my first 5 meaningful charms and I told you that I would be adding on to it every month.

EMBRACE

For the month of January I chose this beautiful charm in silver that winds around light amethyst Swarovski crystal, creating an expressive and elegant design. To me it signifies embracing the new year, embracing all the special moments I share with my family and friends, embrace all the music that is all around us every day, embrace the challenges and disappointments in life as they make you stronger embrace the warm sunshine on my face on a cold day – Embrace life as it is the best thing we have right now.

THE MISSION BY ENNIO MORRICONE – ONE OF MY FAVORITE MUSIC PIECES OF ALL TIME

Today, I would like to invite you to spare 9 minutes of your time during your day or week to put the speakers up and allow this magnificent music by Ennio Morricone to flow through your heart.

The Mission soundtrack from the film directed by Roland Joffle, composed, orchestrated, conducted and produced by Ennio Morricone is a piece of work that combines liturgical chorales, native drumming, and Spanish-influenced guitars which represent the varying cultures depicted in the film. To me they represent so much more! They evoke memories from my younger years, playing with my brothers in the fields of our summer house and it reminds me a lot of my dad who is one of the strongest and most loving persons I love so dearly. The soundtrack was nominated for an Academy Award in 1986 and won the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score and the BAFTA Award for Best Music. See if it hits your chords too!

Every time I listen to it, my heart fills up with so many emotions all mixed in one huge energy bundle, that cannot contain itself and I have to cry, not with sadness nor happiness. It is tears of gratitude for everything that life has sent my way – the good and the bad. Crying is actually good for us. Crying activates the body in a healthy way, like when you watch a movie and it touches you and you cry… That process of opening into yourself… it’s like a lock and key. This music piece is incredible. If you have never listened to it before, please do so when you are alone at home or in a garden and tell me or drop me a message to tell me how your experience was!

Silence, find your little place, speakers at full capacity and let this musical creation flow through your heart. Embrace the Music!
