Alain Mikli shades in Tenerife

Travelling is kind of like being in love. Except instead of being intimate with another person, you become intimate with a place. Those moments of pleasure when the sun hits your face and you look out onto a foreign countryside, or arrive at a new town and see things you’ve only seen in pictures —those are the moments you, or at least I, remember, and live for, again and again.

Wanderlust brings us to Tenerife, the largest of the canarian islands which has a lot of wonderful places we still have to discover and loads of activities to do. From diving to offroad activities, there’s certainly something for everyone. What we also love here is the relaxed atmosphere, the beautiful views and sipping on tasty sangrias at sunset, listening to the sounds of the waves. We are staying in Las Americas and it is here on the way to La Palapa Beach Club that we shot these photos.

The Look

I wore this lovely pair of limited edition Imani sunglasses by the brand Alain Mikli. They are awesome for holidays, when you feel like you want to experiment a little more than usual and have some more fun with accessories. These are unique as they come with a removable fashion scarf. Perfect for events spanning from day to night. Alain Mikli is the first to merge the fashion scarf with designer sunglasses.

I fell in love with this black cotton maxi dress from Zara. I love the criss-cross design at the back and its light texture. I accessorised it with a bright pink cardigan also from Zara, my lovely Stuart Weitzman sandals from Rebelli and a black leather Ripani bag from Porto . With this look, I also loved wearing one of the latest semi-permanent matte lip gloss shades by Inglot.
