Since I am totally obsessed with eyewear, and I have to have sunglasses to match every outfit, some of you have requested that I give some information about different eyewear brands every once in a while. It is always good to learn something from the fashion world and like this, I too get to do some research. Today I have a very good reason to talk about this brand……!
Alain Mikli is a famous French upmarket eyewear brand worn by top celebrities, known for its unique shapes and sharp colours of their designs. One particular campaign that struck me was one when the brand teamed up with French singer and former model Imany to design a particular collection of eyewear. The collection consists of two limited edition pairs of sunglasses and a black leather pouch, all accessorized with a fabric cloth which is used mainly for making African clothing. I have this pair and some of you had seen it when I showed it to you in an outfit I wore on holiday in Tenerife.
What inspired Alain Mikli was Imany the singer’s style in which she combines folk, soul and poetry in her music, and that’s why these two styles in the collection perfectly put together exotic African prints and their beautiful and bright colours with the contrast of dark frames, and the clever use of turbans together with eyewear.
Imany for those of you who don’t know her is a French pop-soul singer who is known for her single ‘Don’t be so shy’ and several other tracks which made it in top music charts worldwide. Here is one of the tracks I like very much.
