This month, for our Christmas annual holiday break, I will be soon travelling again with the family to a lovely destination to be with other members of our family. Can’t wait! In the meantime, we have been busy preparing things to share with you through to the new year. Remember to try your luck at the Giveaways every week on Blog by Grazielle on Facebook including designer bags, beauty products and jewellery!
This week I’m feeling a little more sentimental than usual. Listening to Michael Buble’ Christmas songs at home, and seeing all the Christmas decorations in the shops and shopping malls everywhere I go in Malta. I’ve been shopping for gifts for friends and family and wrapping them prettily with help from my daughter. Lovely feeling. I do like Christmas now …. but I know that it is not such a happy time for everyone, especially people who are missing people they love, people who have just ended their relationships, or are missing people who have passed away. I used to feel sad a few years back and I’ve had a few reasons at the time. But it’s fine. I’m Ok now. Very Ok. I feel centred and fulfilled.
I would like to give those of you who are a little sad a virtual hug and tell you that Christmas time is only one week a year so don’t let it bother you so much Ok? There is so much more to enjoy every day of the year and try to look forward to that! Be grateful for all the things you have to be grateful for – Your health, your job, your close friends who love you dearly, the place you call home. You are where the universe wants you to be right now. Everything happens for a reason…Trust that all will be OK!
My Look
Here at the Victoria Hotel in Sliema, I spotted this warm reception area with a warm fireplace and cosy sofas and I thought that it would be ideal to shoot this black dress from River Island, and this Christina Jewellery set from 202 Jewellery. This dress is simple and perfect for a sit down evening Christmas dinner event I attended recently with my husband. Very elegant and comfortable, I paired it with a black clutch and a pair of shoes with a transparent heel, also from River Island. You can also wear stilettos in red or black if you prefer closed toe shoes so you can wear tights. I just love sandals, even in winter.
The “piece de resistance” to the outfit is this gorgeous watch – a Christina Jewellery piece that can be designed to match your individual taste. I chose the gold one with the red leather bracelet to contrast with the black dress and because in red it looks so beautiful. I couldn’t stop looking at it during my dinner date and checking the time! The additional bracelet strap is also available in white, black and brown leather with a wide variety of optional add-on charms so you are sure to be unique in every way. The charms are also used as earrings which is great!
Have a look at these photos shot by J Ciappara Photography and let us know what you think of them! I wish you all a great weekend. Enjoy your parties and events and remember not to drink and drive. Book a taxi or get a left home if you think you will be going overboard with the drinks!
Love and light to all
