“Dear Grazielle, we follow your blog and absolutely love it.” These were the first few words that accompanied an invitation to a Mother’s Day event held at a shop called La Coccinella in St Julian’s this week.
La Coccinella is a family-run business in St Julians situated next door to the tiny coffee shop called Café Ole’. Sarah Fava Cini and her family have taken a great deal of care to source gourmet food and a selection of organic products from different parts of the world, with loads of pretty table settings and accessories to match. Tea sets, dinner sets, mugs, candles, clocks and several unique home décor items to embellish your home or to give as a splendid gift to friends and family.
“Our mission is always to find ways of finding good quality items and brands during our travels and bring them over to Malta” Miss Cini told me during the event.
The new collection for Spring / Summer 2016 at La Coccinella aims to take clients on a colourful journey where vibrant accessories meet delicious gourmet food.
Some products you will find here include wines, home decorations, Pesto with Truffle, Bottarga di Tonno, Organic Prosecco, Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Tuscany, Coloured Pasta without artificial colouring. It is also interesting to know that they have their own Ladybird Organic Farm in Dingli where they produce some fresh items that are also sold in the shop in St Julians.
Before I left the shop, they surprised me with this gift for Mother’s Day!! Thank you very much for this. I will gladly share with my mother on mother’s day and my family. Who does not love high quality food and drink products and gifts for the house!
