BB & CC- initials which have become common in the beauty industry & our beauty routine but what do they mean? and what should they be used for?
Over the last years BB creams have become exceptionally popular & can be seen on most make up & beauty stands.
BB refers to beauty balm and can be considered as an all in one face product replacing serum moisturizer foundation and sun block.
It’s a tinted face cream which in texture is not as heavy as a foundation, which sometimes may seem a little much for every day wear. BB cream also helps to offer light coverage to skin imperfections such as scars and blemishes
CC refers to Color Control cream, or Color Correcting cream, and some brands claim that it helps to reduce the appearance of skin redness and to improve uneven skin tone.
CC creams have more coverage however they are still lighter in texture than foundation. CC creams are recommended more for those who have dull skin, spots or acne, and the product can also include natural brighteners like licorice or vitamin C as well as antioxidants.
