Lady in red at Chamilia Fashion Awards Malta 2016

The day has arrived. After a full week of events during Malta Fashion Week 2016, the Chamilia Fashion Awards was the grand finale of the entire week dedicated to fashion and the arts. Hosted by Maltese TV presenter John Bundy, we enjoyed a show including dance shows, hair shows and a few catwalk fashion shows by a selected number of fashion designers. It was televised and attended by thousands of both local and international guests with an after party that went on till the early hours of the morning!

The Look

I was excited to be wearing this beautiful red gown with gold trimmings by BBY Boutique. I liked its vibrant Mediterranean colour and its classic style. With regards to the jewellery, collaborating with 202 Jewellery in Sliema, we went for this statement necklace, earrings, a statement gold ring and two modern gold bracelets to complement the outfit.

With regards to the bag, I went for another special piece – an elegant Roberto Cavalli gold purse from the latest 2016 Collection from Rebelli boutique. Isn’t it splendid!

My hair was pulled back with a side parting, and a square shaped bun by Mixas Salon while my makeup was by the talented Janice at The Make Up Mafia including lots of bronze, gold, metallics and glitter! I felt a million dollars and I was so excited for all the nominees, some of which are friends.

While we were walking along the promenade to enter the St Angelo Fortress, it happened that this super mega yacht was entering the Vittoriosa Marina and luckily Justin the photographer captured the moment perfectly. What a start to the night!

Thanks to my team of hair stylists and makeup artists. You all did a fab job. It was no easy task to attend the events, to write the articles in the late hours of the night and take care of things at home too. Thank you so much to all my family and followers for encouraging me to follow my heart and to do what I love. This was a blast and I know I will miss it a little. Until the next Fashion Week! 
