There are some things worth indulging on, and bold outerwear is always something I like to have in my closet. A statement jacket as its name implies, makes a statement, no matter what you are wearing underneath. So when you pair it with basics, it adds a pop of excitement to your outfit. Over jeans, leggings or a very simple basic dress, a statement jacket will attract all the attention.
The Look
Last weekend, I went out with my family for lunch and a few drinks. The weather was a little chilly so I needed to wear something with sleeves or a jacket. This is a jacket I have just got my hands on. It is by the Italian brand Antica Sartoria originating from Positano and it’s from a shop in St Julians called White Fashion which specialises in unique beachwear fashion including hand-sewn pieces like this jacket. I like its design very much.
It can be worn casually with jeans and a top or a plain white dress. I have worn it with a white cotton dress and white shoes to a dinner event the other week and it looked lovely. I paired it with these ripped denim jeans, a plain red Zara top, red Zara high-heeled stilettos and my Petits Joueurs bag.
Well I had a splendid boozy lunch in the sun in the Bugibba Piazza with my little family followed by an afternoon nap. Splendid!
