What can I say! Scenic countryside with an adrenaline rush guaranteed. So, here is how my brief story goes..Last week, while on our family vacation in sunny Tenerife for Christmas and the New Year, instead of spending a day at the beach soaking up the sun, I joined my husband and his brother on this bike tour with Quad Safari Tenerife in Santa Cruz. The 3 main guides Matteo Nieddu, Marco Mereu and Jose Luis Manuel Rodriguez were awesome – Very good fun and yet very professional when it came to safety on the roads and giving instructions and tips before and during the entire experience. Muchos gracias chicos!
We paid 88 euros including pick up and drop off from our meeting point in Los Cristianos. This fee included 3 hours of pure and simple fun.. Polaris 250cc machines were used and we were supplied with helmets and jackets. As there is some driving on public roads, the drivers needed to have a driving licence. Quad Safaris offer three different length trips, ranging from 45 minutes to a full three hours. We did the latter.
For anyone interested, you can enjoy this amazing experience individually or together with your partner by sharing a double quad. You have a choice between single-seat quad for 1 person and double– seat quad, ideal for 2 people.
Together with another dozen bikes or so, we had a memorable outdoor experience that kept us giggling afterwards for hours. It was just what I needed to totally relax doing something a little adventurous. We drove through streets and offroad paths and we got to see some beautiful views of this part of Tenerife that we could not have seen by car.
I dropped my phone when trying to upload movies on Insta Story haha and we luckily recovered it before the other quads zoomed over it. Phew! I hope you got to see some of the scenes. The highlights included the offroad paths through a kind of forest with lots of sandy sections with bumpy bits. We had so much fun that we got totally covered in brown dust. New natural foundation right?– yeah! It was yet another fun thing to do while on vacation.
