Be Bold. Be Beautiful. Be Yourself

Hello! As I share some photos from one of my outings aboard the Harmony of The Seas cruiseliner in this beautiful dress by BBY, I have a few personal thoughts I would like to share with you because I wish to help some of my followers improve their lives. In my blog today, I wish to inspire some of you to tap more into your real selves, to find more peace at heart and happiness.

About 6 years ago, I remember going through a difficult patch in my life on the relationship front and I somehow at the time I felt so weak, I could not see the light at the other end of the tunnel. I was so used to getting what I wanted in everything that failure to retain a relationship was one big failure in my eyes. I used to blame it on the partners I dated and then used to get really sad when things did not work out. A lot of you out there will understand what I’m saying as you have or are still experiencing relationship difficulties.

With the help of Andrew Berger, a friend, an ingenius author of several books including Finding Your True Self, who I met while on a spiritual holiday in Lourdes, I began working on myself from within, writing notes and doing spiritual studies, changing a few thoughts and I noticed just how much I cared about other people’s perceptions of me, especially my partners. I started to change this by working on little things every week. Andrew and the book taught me a few points that really helped me change my ways,  to attract the right people with positive and kind energy, but most of all to try to shed my barriers, my fears and masks and be more ME!

When you let go of your old ways of thinking, follow your bliss, and do what you love, following what your heart tells you, you begin to align with happiness and peace. These are all indicators that you are connected with your true nature. You are then allowing your real self to shine in all its glory. You will be stronger mentally and spiritually to make daily decisions that will help you feel better every single day. Be Bold. Be Beautiful. Be Yourself.

Here are 3 ways to help you achieve this.

1. Get in touch with your inner child.

If you ever take time to observe young children, you will notice just how free they are and how little they care about what other people think of them. They are just happy and in the moment. They are not trying to fit it into society. If they are dancing in the middle of the shopping centre, they are not in the least bothered about what people think.

Children are just pure love and light. If you really want to get in touch with your inner child, let your hair down a bit more. Play, have fun, dance more, enjoy the moment. Stop trying to please others or trying to fit in. If people love you, they will truly love you just the way you are. We play roles to fit into society and we overwhelm our true nature out of fear of what others think. If you find yourself worrying about being judged by others, remember that is merely just the socialised you, not the real you.

2. Become more aware of your thoughts.

Become more aware of the quality of your thinking. Allow yourself to sit quietly every morning before starting your day for just five to ten minutes. You will be surprised at how much we tend to allow negative thoughts to enter our minds. By finding these few minutes daily, you will feel more centred and calm.

My husband this week just reminded me that we have so many unconscious beliefs that we have taken on over the years that were probably handed down to us from somebody else, and that we believed to be who we are. Becoming more aware of the quality of your thoughts, letting go of the old beliefs, and becoming more present can help in revealing your true nature.

3. Follow your instinct.

When you start following the little nudges and urges that you get, follow what your heart tells you and you will have hopped onto the magic carpet ride of awesomeness. You might make mistakes, which you will learn from, but they will be well worth the while. Keep a good communication with family and good friends and let the universe send you what you need to achieve what you want to do. When you do things that you love, when you have new purposes in life, and you don’t let fear or worry overtake your thoughts, then you are already on the right track, so keep it up. Viva la vida! The Look

This dress I chose from BBY in Valletta is one I like very much. The style and the pattern caught my attention on the racks and I thought it would be perfect for one of the evenings out while on holiday and I was right. I accessorised it by wearing these Michael Kors nude shoes from Rebelli and a pretty red purse I had received as a gift from a friend and also these elegant dark red Versace sunglasses. I styled my hair in a sleek ponytail using the invisibobble hair ties. All together, the whole look had a touch of elegance and I was so comfortable all night!
