Roberto Cavalli at Guell Park

Last month, one of the cruise stops was at one of my favourite cities – Barcelona! Never have enough of visiting it. One of the attractions we visited on this trip was Park Guell, one of the most extraordinary public parks in the world.

A bit of history… The architect Antonio Gaudi planned and directed the construction of the park from 1900 to 1914 for Eusebi Guell for a residential park intended for sixty single- family residences. The project, however, was unsuccessful and the park became city property in 1923. Though never fully completed, it still remains one of Gaudi’s most colourful and playful works.

During this period, Gaudi perfected his personal style through inspiration from organic shapes. In the design of Park Güell, Gaudí allowed all his architectonic genius to run free and put to practice much of his innovative structural solutions that would become the symbol of his organic style and that would later culminate in the creation of the Sagrada Familia, the Basilica and Expatiory Church of the Holy Family. One amazing park – He was so ahead of his time! A must-visit when in Barcelona!

After Guell Park, we went to Las Ramblas for a couple of sangrias before we headed back to the ship to enjoy a lovely gala night and dinner!

The Look

My husband and I visited this park during our day in Barcelona and on this day I wore this splendid and comfortable Roberto Cavalli dress from Rebelli. I love the length, the cut and its colours I wore it here in very warm temperatures, but I would most definitely also wear it in Malta’s winter with a short leather jacket and boots for example. I ‘m one who loves colours and this one is very easy to wear with black accessories.

Here I paired it with a black Tosca Blu handbag and a statement bracelet from Porto, Dolce e Gabbana sunglasses, and my Stuart Weitzman shoes which must be one of my best assets this season.
