Porsche Taycan Launch Event in Prague

I have just returned back home from 3 wonderful days in Prague. I was privileged to be invited by Porsche to attend the official reveal of the all-new electric Porsche Taycan. I shared pictures and photos in my Instagram stories and posts. Thank you for the many recommendations received of places to visit while in Prague to many of you! The city of Prague is beautiful with lots of interesting cultures and beautiful history. It’s no surprise that this is where Porsche chose to have a very exclusive launch for press and influencers and some of their clients. Here is a video I shared on my Facebook page with just a hint of what went on that evening.

Porsche left nothing to chance. Everything was top notch, refined luxury, class and themed attention to detail from start to finish. We were transported from our hotel “Mama’s Shelter” to the secret location in an old bus with talented animators and singers who entertained us, setting the tone for the exciting event, while we were being served candy and bottles of champagne. This is where we started to mingle and socialize with people from all across the globe. People coming together for one big celebration. #SoulElectrified #TaycanPrague

Thirty minutes or so from our bus ride departure we arrived at the surprise venue which was a power plant. Porsche turned this commercial venue into a magical one – Throughout the long eventful evening thanks to dancers, actors and amazing performers, we were transported through time with a show that was split into three sections into three separate rooms. It was a pleasure to be a witness to this amazing show of artistry and imagination and must I add ambitiously unique. Food and drink too were top-notch as there were chefs preparing and serving gourmet food to us throughout the evening and several bars serving top cocktails and spirit creations with the finest brands.

We kept wondering where the car or cars would come out from because nowhere could we see an evident doorway or a covered car. When the show turned into an acrobatic one with men hanging down from the ceiling, that is where we spotted one huge metal aluminum container hanging up in the air. That is where one of the reveal cars was! The other two which eventually drove out zoomed out of a side door! Wow! Just a wonderful well-choreographed show that I will remember and appreciate for the rest of my life. Thank you, Porsche, for choosing me to come to this awesome moment in the history of humanity – Porsche launches this electrifying electric car – the New Porsche Taycan.

About the New Porsche Taycan

Taycan. A name that fulfills every phonetic, legal, creative, strategic, and model-specific requirement. Composed of two terms of Turkic origin, this word can be roughly translated as the “soul of a spirited young horse.”

Those in doubt that there’s such a thing as an electric vehicle bandwagon need to take a gander at the all-new 2020 Porsche Taycan. It’s a fully electric plug-in sedan from the good folks who brought us the 911and other asphalt-gobbling iron from Germany. The hardware rolling off the lines in Stuttgart and Leipzig seems to have one defining mission: Go fast, but always in luxury.

What’s Under The Hood?

Don’t let the Taycan’s top-end Turbo and Turbo S designations fool you, this is a fully electric vehicle. Powered by two permanently excited synchronous electric motors (one on the front axle and one on the rear), the Taycan Turbo and Turbo S each produce 616 hp (460 kW). But with Launch Control and the Overboost function, the Turbo pumps out up to 671 hp (500 kW) and the Turbo S does 751 hp (560 kW).

Fuel Economy

Unlike all other electric vehicles on the market, which use 400-volt systems, Porsche has chosen an 800-volt electrical system. The higher voltage allows for smaller, stronger motors and thinner wires to provide better packaging and lower weight. Both Taycan models share the same “Performance Battery Plus” battery pack — 396 individual lithium-ion cells with a combined storage capacity of 93.4 kWh — housed in a liquid-cooled and armored case. While the Environmental Protection Agency has not finalized a range, it is expected to be between 250-270 miles.

The Taycan is ready for the future, thanks to its innovative total concept. It is characterized by the features that have always been decisive for any Porsche: pure emotion and maximum driving pleasure
