Hello Friends! Sending you my warmest and brightest greetings today. Can you feel the festive atmosphere as you walk around the Maltese islands? Shops and houses decorated so laboriously to create a warm and attractive atmosphere. Christmas songs playing on the radio, in the shopping centres. The Church welcomes everyone all the more to connect with their hearts. You cannot but embrace this joy and take in some of it’s loving energy. It is also time to think about this past year. How has it been for you? Where do you go from here? Anyways… I have something festive to share with you today about the historic destination located in the scenic Grand Harbour in Malta – the Valletta Waterfront.

As from 1st December, Valletta Waterfront takes on a Christmas Village feel with a mix of décor, music, food, Christmas stalls and a number of activities related to this magical time. Food and entertainment outlets are all geared up to cater for you and your families! I went down there last week to be able to show you some of it in the hope that you too will find the time to visit.
35 Foot Tall Christmas Tree
Half way along the promenade, you cannot miss this beautiful Christmas tree of a height of over 35 feet. I took some photos beneath it so you can have an idea of how big it is! Yeah! A variety of free activities are planned underneath this very tree and along the whole promenade: I have been informed that there are plans for Christmas bands, children choirs, cribs, stalls and so much more! Santa can be found in his workshop and together with his helpers will be available for photo opportunities. When I went, he was very busy preparing presents so he gave me permission to do my thing and take photos without him haha – Thanks Santa!
From now until New Year’s Eve on weekends and public holidays there is free children’s entertainment available. Families with their little guests can enjoy free activities including: balloon modelling, face painting, crafts, games, colouring-ins, meet & greets with all-time favourite characters, puppet shows, bouncy castles and more. Season’s specials. For Full Calendar of Events Click ” rel=”noopener” target=”_blank”> HERE
As throughout the rest of the year, on weekends and public holidays there will be free children’s entertainment. Your children can enjoy free activities including: balloon modelling, face painting, crafts, games, colouring-ins, meet & greets with all-time favourite characters, puppet shows, bouncy castles and more. Interactive season’s specials are planned with Racing Elves, Antlers’ Toss, Mind the Baubles, “in-Naxra” and more.
There is a letter box near the tree where children and adults are invited to send their letter to SANTA! I did it and I asked for some beautiful things for humanity.
Restaurants To Enjoy
More than 12 outlets located along the Valletta Waterfront promenade provide a variety of dining experiences for any type of event or party. From a quick after-office drink to an elaborate meal, Valletta Waterfront is a perfect destination with a wide variety of menu options that can be customised to one’s taste and budget. I enjoyed a marvellous lunch at the Marina Club VW Restaurant. We tasted the home made gnocchi, and the slow-cooked glazed beef which was absolutely amazing. I highly recommend it together with all the other restaurants along the Valletta Waterfront promenade.
More Things to Do at the Valletta Waterfront?
If this is not enough, shoppers can browse the shops for interesting Christmas gifts – from jewellery, books, handmade ceramics, local glass and more.
Welcome the New Year 2018 in style: entertainment for the old and young will be provided throughout the night on the 31st with live bands and roaming children’s animation. At the stroke ofmidnight, there will be an aerial fireworks display coupled with confetti on the Valletta Waterfront promenade, overlooking the historic port and fortifications.
This is the perfect opportunity to enjoy the balmy Maltese winter weather – with inside seating and heated outside areas for colder days, whilst joining in the Christmas cheers and celebrations.

Whilst wishing you all the warmest wishes for this festive season, may we also remember all the persons in the hospitals, restaurants, hotel industries, police squads and all those who are working while everyone else is celebrating and partying. Thank you for all the dedicated work you do for humanity.
Sending you much love and good vibes, today and always!
