Between Friday 21st April and Sunday 23rd April 2017, Valletta Waterfront will blossom with splashes of colour, music and innumerable entertainment for all at COLOUR FEST, the annual spring festival!
In its third edition and following last year’s success and excellent attendance, Colourfest – the annual event celebrating colour in all its forms returns with a bang – bigger and better than ever. The Valletta Waterfront which plays a significant role in Malta’s cruise liner business and hosts a concentration of bars, retail outlets and restaurants is all set to provide all visitors an entertaining weekend for all including arts and crafts, free fun activities, meet and greet with popular cartoon and comic characters – and much more!
For adults, activities are also several including a diverse line up of bands and performers, interactive outdoor games and unique dishes offered by a number of restaurants along the water’s edge especially for Colour Fest weekend.
I was lucky to have been invited to experience a tiny taste of this event to be able to tell you all about it so in my style I found a couple of pretty outfits and decided to take some photos here to show you some of the waterfront and some of the decorations that are already in place waiting for you!
First of all, the atmosphere here in this part of Malta is so relaxing and wonderful; with views of the magnificent Grand Harbour and the luxurious cruise liners and many colourful doors all along the promenade, it is really an awesome backdrop for you and your selfies! You feel relaxed the minute you arrive. If you need any more reason to come here, there are over 20 restaurants and bars lined ranging from Italian to Chinese and Mediterranean fusion will definitely hit your taste buds. If that is not enough, for the shopaholics you will find a book store, jewellery stores and small boutiques which will be open this weekend.
After we took some photos here, last week, I sat down to enjoy a delicious steak and a glass of wine courtesy of Bistro 516 with a view of the nearby yachts and it was excellent! Thank you for that! So if I were you and you were planning what to do this coming weekend in Malta, Colour Fest is definitely be on my top list of attractions this month!
With regards to parking there will be free and flat-rate parking available for all attending.
COLOUR FEST is being held at the Valletta Waterfront on Friday 21st, 22nd and Sunday 23rd 2017 so make sure you visit and if you have young children, definitely a fun weekend for them!
