For those of you who are getting to know my style tastes, experiencing my life journey through my blogs, photos and videos of my fashion and travel adventures, you know that I am a big fan of classic styling and with it comes monochrome. Black and white is the most classic, timeless and chic combination of all time – and I love it.
I like to also mix up textures and fabrics like leather, silk or fur for added interest and even mix the two together with a monochrome print to make a fashion statement. After all, everything in black and white makes sense. It’s about mixing and matching with what I’m in the mood in that day or night!
You also already know by following international designer fashion shows that the power of black and white pieces can be quite strong—there’s nothing chicer than pairing the new white shades together on a black and white outfit or a lovely pair of black trousers, with a crisp white shirt and a blazer for example. In fact, it’s hard to look bad in black and white – fact.
Here in this blog I was in party mode and I wanted to show you this black and white dress with a zebra print that I took on holiday with me. It is a Plein Sud piece from The Luxury Outlet in Malta, and once I was complete with my make up and hair by Jean Zammit, I felt so good and I just wanted to go out dancing. That couldn’t wait so I just put the music on in our beautiful room at the Jumeirah Zabeel Sarey Resort and just did my thing haha
The room was full of petals from my husband’s birthday the previous day so I just had to small them and throw these out everywhere before they dried out. Luckily the talented photographer Mirjana managed to capture some of these moments and I love them! They will always remind me of this very first trip to Dubai, this incredible city in the United Arab Emirates, a destination with so much to offer and – so much fun!
Accessories by Sam Selby
I wished to add a pop of colour to the outfit so I wore this purple jewellery from the Sirena Collection by Sam Selby. These bright and bold statement pieces are crafted from sea sediment, and each holds its very own unique pattern and shade. The designs are a balance of ergonomics and aesthetics, as Sam Selby the designer believes that each piece is as important as the other.
Each necklace sits and frames the collar bones, so that they accentuate the natural lines of the person wearing them. The Sirena Collection is set in either sterling silver, or gold plated silver, allowing versatility to the wearer to create a statement look for any classic or understated outfit. I think it made the outfit pop. What do you think?
I wore this dress to the night club and also to a restaurant called Coya one night. Love love love it!
Kisses to all!
