Hello beautiful people! February, the month of Love is here! Oh, dear, the word Love itself brings up so many feelings, images, emotions and philosophies for everyone in a different way right! Where do you even begin! It’s so wonderful to be able to have the opportunity to foster a strong warmth and affection for ourselves and others too . It feels good to be loving, considerate and kind and by cultivating more openness, we let go of judgements that ultimately do not serve us.
This month, we prepared something special to share, a few weeks before Valentine’s Day, I organised a surprise outing for my husband Marco, in partnership with GABA, my jewellery partners and Azimut Yachts Malta by Esprit Yachting. We had to plan this Blog in advance, as we were to travel to Mexico the second week of February and to thus giving you some time to plan your own Valentine’s Surprise Gift Ideas!
I was sneaky and planned a surprise day aboard a beautiful Azimut 60 Fly yacht. He certainly wasn’t expecting anything of the sort. I instructed Marco to bring some extra smart clothes for dinner time and I didn’t tell him we had a photoshoot planned too! I trusted that he would be OK with it and go with the flow!
The yacht charter was docked at Marina di Valletta, I blind folded him till we found the splendid yacht and thanks to the hosting team, we were welcome aboard, treated to some wine and strawberries and got comfortable quite quickly. We enjoyed a wonderful half day on it and of course we shot many photos of beautiful jewellery pieces to share with you starting with the South Sea pearl necklace, pearl and diamond ring and Akoya pearl and diamond earrings, exclusive pieces to stand the test of time and the watch by Cyrus that Marco is wearing.
Marco and I have been married for 5 years and as many of you know, we have a lovely 5 year old daughter together called Luna, our blessing. As a couple, we are the type to enjoy eachother’s company every day, we connect a little a day, during our morning run and we try to fit in a chat after work to catch up on how we are doing. To keep Feeding the Flame, because relationships need constant work, we try to organise date nights once every week or fortnight, you know just to have that time out of the normal routine, to actually look at eachother eye to eye and really catch up, and sometimes deal with pending issues that need “clearing”. Valentines Day is not the only day we are romantic, but we still make a little effort to prepare something and celebrate our Love, I know that there so many of you out there who are not so romantic but hey, as long as you are happy together, that is what matters, and no you don’t need to have big events like this to be happy. It’s the trust and respect between you that matters the most!
Here in this picture, I am wearing 18 ct white gold chainsincluding my initial G by the world-renowned Italian brand Crivelli, a breathtaking ring layered with diamonds and lovely tennis diamond bracelets also by Crivelli.
Marco is sporting a sporty yet elegant watch by the brand Cyrus. All these brands are exclusively available at GABA in Malta.
For those of you out there who love to make a special effort to show your loved one how much they mean to you, planning a unique Valentine’s Day can be challenging, especially if you and your special someone have been together for a while. How can you top whatever you did last year?
There are many options out there including getting some beautiful jewellery from GABA like the ones we are showing in this feature, and If you want to treat your sweetheart to a day or an evening that will be truly memorable and romantic to say the least a yacht charter could also be an option. You could allow yourself to be transported by the elegant yet comfortable atmosphere, a delicious meal accompanied by fine wine, and of course, the Mediterranean views that you can only see from the decks of the yachts.
In the bedroom scene, with rose petals on the bed, when we were joking with the camera crew about this experience, he brings out this splendid white gift box with inside it a Kurloff heart shaped mother of pearl 18ct rose gold and diamond pendant! It’s such a beautiful gift idea for Valentine’s and any other special moment.
