Autumn Bliss in Tuscany

As Summer ends and Autumn leaves begin to grace our beautiful countrysides, we begin to see the most beautiful Autumn colours in the nature around us. Same happens with my wardrobe. Apart from my usual suspects including black leather jackets, red coats and turtle necks to keep me warm in the humid nights, there is now navy blue, and warm burgundy, purples and creamy beiges making their way out of the sealed boxes.

This blog is special to me in many ways and I will tell you why so that as you scroll down to see the beautiful clothes and breathtaking views, you will also understand better the dynamics, logistics and all the love behind this photoshoot.

For those of you who follow my blog regularly here, on Facebook and on Instagram, you are aware that I was away recently on a short getaway with my girlfriends in Tuscany Italy. 5 lovely ladies dropped all their busy schedules, their kids, work commitments and boyfriends for a few days of simple, blissful time to be spent enjoying each other’s company, Tuscan wines, horse-riding and of course shopping in Florence.

On this holiday in Autumn, I chose to take a couple of outfits to shoot for the blog. Francesca, a very good friend and a blogger in her own right at Gaia & Nina kindly agreed to take photos of me and to take care of the artistic direction of this shoot. We both enjoy creating content and it is something we both love. We often sit down and brainstorm ideas and encourage eachother to try new things so it was a very special experience to do this together as we are genuine friends who care for eachother and this memory will last a lifetime, together with all the photos I will cherish dearly. We decided to shoot the outfit in the outskirts of the villa where we were staying in Chianti. As you will all agree, this view is so beautiful!

How to achieve this look

This season it’s all about natural colours, soft purples and coffee colours in both clothing and makeup trends. All the celebrities are endorsing these colours too so I think that this outfit I picked from River Island for this holiday trip is bang on trend. I wore this mauve silk top in this soft colour worn on the skinny stretched jeans and worn with this beautiful cream jacket with the faux fur collar.

To accessorise I chose this cute bag which is a good enough size to keep your mobile and other basics like lip glosses and your wallet for shopping. For my makeup look, I used purples and pink eyeshadows and lip glosses by 3ina MakeUp, my makeup partners on this trip. To finish off the look, these elegant sunglasses by Michael Kors.

I wore this outfit to go on a wine tasting tour at Castello del Trebbio followed by a lovely dinner with the ladies in central Florence.
