Happy Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is a very personal day for every individual. For some it is the one and only excuse to dare ask a person out on a date. For some couples, it is an opportunity to go crazy in the gifts department. For others a simply night in with their loved one watching the same old TV shows, perhaps followed by a playful time when the kids go to sleep, if they do fall asleep!

Albeit a highly commercialised feast, we cannot help but celebrate it for the sake of being romantic and creative. After Christmas, it is for restaurants, chocolatiers, the most lucrative time of the year. Although this year, it falling on a Sunday, with people working on Monday, it might be less celebrated?

For couples out there, who have not booked any restaurant, here are a few simple but easy ideas for you this weekend, which will not break the bank but will give you a little something to remember and enjoy together in your own style.

Pick some good looking sweet treats with a Valentine’s Theme from a patisserie. Chocolates, cupcakes and doughnuts are amongst the favourites.

I will be going out to dinner this year with my husband to one of our favourite restaurants, a place where we had our first date night. I’m looking forward to wearing an outfit I just bought of course. May I wish everyone out there a lovely Valentine’s Weekend!
