A Gratitude List For The Things Making Me Joyful Right Now

Life and our work grind can make us oversee all the things in our lives that make us feel happy and fulfilled. We spend so much time getting fixated on what is going wrong, we all so easily forget about the simple things in life that make our lives enjoyable. It is a known fact, studied by so many psychologists and students that expressing gratitude for the good things that surround us can help us to de-stress, enjoy each moment, and  being thankful for what we have, welcomes more abundance into our life! In the same manner, more of the negative talk brings more negative things into your life. So, let’s stay positive and grateful.

Do you have a bed to sleep in every night?  How about a car that allows you to travel to work or to explore the country? Is your family healthy? Do you have a computer and Internet access to stay in touch with the world, get access to education, and perform work for which you are paid? Do you have clean water to drink?

Celebrate these simple blessings. These daily conveniences are gifts that most people in the world do not enjoy.

This is my gratitude list and the simple things I’ve been grateful for recently:

1. Daily Exercise

We run about 5K every single morning as part of our daily healthy habits. Marco and I set out running with Luna in the pram and there are no excuses. We just do it as a family routine and we find so many benefits from it. We feel fitter and stronger and we are spending some quality time together first thing in the morning. If you follow our daily Instagram Stories @graziellecamilleri you can see some of our simple workouts, and we invite you to try some of them solo or as a family too! #JustDoIt #TogetherIsBetter #ChooseFitness

2. New Hobbies. Learning New Things

I love learning new things all the time. I’ve embarked on singing lessons, I went on a Crystals healing course and I am watching lots of TED Talks for my personal development as an entrepreneur and a simple human being enjoying more of the “Being” part.

3. Reading

I am reading one of my favourite books of all time. “The Neverending Story” I found a hardback copy in leather, just like in the movie. The story is set in the magical land of Fantastica, an unrealistic place of wonder ruled by the benevolent and mysterious Childlike Empress. A great delegation has come to the Empress to seek her help against a formless entity called “The Nothing”. The delegates are shocked when the Empress’s physician, a centaur named Cairon, informs them that the Empress is dying, and has summoned a boy warrior named Atreyu, to find a cure. To Atreyu, the Empress gives AURYN: a powerful medallion that protects him from all harm. At the advice of the giant turtleMorla the Aged One, Atreyu sets off in search of an invisible oracle known as Uyulala, who may know the Empress’s cure. In reaching her, he is aided by a luckdragon named Falkor, whom he rescues from the monster ‘Ygramul the Many’. If you haven’t read it, and you are a lover of fantasy, this is one beautiful book to read – and it goes beyond the movie!

4. Travel

Travelling always lift my spirits. Recently visited Austria and Rome. Soon off to Milan again and other destinations that the universe will provide. Travel allows me to look at my life from a different perspective and it helps me get inspired for work and creative projects. So, yes, travel makes me very happy, although I love my little Malta very much!

5. Blogging

I feel I’ve really hit my progress with blogging this year; I’ve been feeling incredibly fulfilled by the content I’ve been creating since January this year starting with more humanitarian projects alongside the fashion, travel and lifestyle blogs. My focus has shifted onto the subjects I’m most passionate about – Fashion, events, events,  my journey with crystals, motivational posts – and it’s enabled me to make content that can really help and guide others towards living a more fulfilled lifestyle. Also, instead of relying on advertising sales and affiliate links to make money selling you things you don’t need, I can work with brands whose ethics I trust and whose products I love.

6. Crystals

Crystals have become a valuable part of my life. I have even started a crystals section in the blog and while I learn more about them, I try to share information on my social media platforms.

I also started selling Crystals via my Instagram stories so if you are interested to buy some, just tune in every day and message me if any one of the Crystals calls you! I will ship free of charge to Malta and Europe! Follow my Instagram @graziellecamilleri until I set up an online shop!

7. Balancing Work and Family Time

I strongly believe that success is not only measured by the accountable monetary or career success in life, or how many trophies you receive in your sports marathons or competitions, but in my opinion a fully fledged successful person is one who manages to find balance in life between work, love and family, the relationships, enjoying life. It is something that my husband Marco and I feel very strongly about and we do our best to balance out the time. How? By either making it a habit to do things together like the morning exercise or making the time that one hour each day after work to do something be it a walk or a swim or going for a simple ice cream outing. When there are days when we skip because of very hectic work schedules, we will make sure to make up for lost precious time after. With this balance, I am feeling much happier, more fulfilled, more calm and at peace in my heart. No more exhaustion. No more burnout. No more overcommitment.

I highly recommend you write down a Gratitude list of your own and read it to yourself every day. You will feel great immediately and you will notice that more beautiful things will start to happen.

Much love xxx
