The Pink Fashion Show, a twice-yearly Times of Malta event is one I always look forward to for its originality and quality of attendees. This edition, the 12th edition was held at the Malta Polo Club in Marsa was totally inspired by an equestrian theme, where us guests could enjoy the Cawnpore Cup polo match and the summer trends riding high on one of the most important catwalks of the fashion calendar.
I was not sure what to wear for this one. Originally I thought of a suit as the ones we see at HE Queen Elisabeth’s Royal horse racing events with a matching hat, but then since the temperatures soared high in the past few days, I changed to plan B and went for a softer fabric colorful KOCCA maxi glam dress from Romm’s Boutique paired with a custom-made headpiece by Adalia Bonnici who had displayed her work at Malta Fashion Week last year. Love the finished outfit including makeup with matching brown, red and orange tones, courtesy of MAC Cosmetics. You know it works when you received hundreds of compliments online when you post the outfit look on Instagram stories and when you meet people in person and they just say WOW when they meet you!
In the first couple of hours, I made sure to visit most of the stands showcasing products and brands and take selfies with friends I met along the way, mingled with some very interesting people and had a couple of drinks courtesy of FINO Lifestyle and Charles Grech and tasted some ice creams by HaagenDasz too prior to the show which commenced at around 8 pm. We were treated to healthy food by Eeetwell, flowing ,Kinnie and Campari cocktails, Nescafé Dolce Gusto coffees and Nestlé Yes bars, apart from generous goodie bags and plenty of other surprises and gifts, including Guerlain, Lancaster, La Prairie and Trussardi products.
Organised by Malta’s fashion magazine with a team of very inspiring women with avant-garde ideas – Fiona Galea Debono and Veronica Grech Sant to mention a few –this PINK event is now well known for its twice-yearly catwalk shows. In this one, Pink transformed the Marsa horse racing track with an over 40-metre catwalk for 30 models to showcase top brands, including Calzedonia, Cortefiel, Gerry Weber, Mexx, Noos, O’hea Opticians, Pedro del Hierro, Samsonite, US Polo Assn by OK Fashion, Vascas and Women’s Secret. Interesting looks and styles as always, well coordinated and presented to summer tunes and good vibes!
Models were made up by Guerlain at Franks led by Chris Attard, with hairstyles by dsalon in Ibraġġ,
The popular event, firmly established on the fashion calendar, was supported by Casapinta and Ovation Events and Logistics. Event sponsors included Campari, Coccinelle, Eeetwell, GasanZammit Motors Ltd, Go, Häagen-Dazs, Kinnie, L’Allée by Pippa Toledo, Lancaster, La Prairie, Mazda, Nestlé Yes, Nescafé Dolce Gusto, Qronfla, Sicilia Outlet Village and Trussardi.
I conclude by saying WOW what a wonderful event once again and thank you for inviting me and treating me to a Front Row seat to enjoy this event in full view to be able to share with all my lovely followers!
