Nailed it at Niumee

What do I look at to see how well-groomed a person is? Personally I always look at someone’s hands and hair first, then clothes and shoes when I meet someone for the first time. There is nothing worse, in my opinion, than hands that are not taken care of and I’m not just saying this for women. I also address this to the gentlemen. So the least we all can do for ourselves is making sure our hands look good and well maintained.

For me there is no excuse whatsoever for not keeping my nails groomed at all times and since I have no patience whatsoever for nail shaping or nail lacquer application, I book myself an appointment at my nail technician every 3 weeks on the dot.

I can proudly say that I have been a client of Sue Caruana and her daughter Justine for over 13 years. Yes, I have been a happy client for all these years and I have never failed to have my nails done. Rain or shine, happy or sad, I have visited them and had my nails done. Way before I started blogging, way before social media marketing became popular. It was by word of mouth that customers would recommend services and this is how we started our beauty journey that has lasted over a decade already!

So basically, all I have to worry about is what colour my nails are going to be every time – and that’s it haha. Both ladies are super talented and a pleasure to be with, quite contrasting in characters but both so passionate about their work. You feel at home and relaxed with them and that hour for your treatment, it is like a quick catch up before you get on with your day. They are also my friends now and have seen me through all my relationships, business and career progression, marriage, pregnancy – you name it, they’ve been through it with me and I am so proud of them!

They are now based at Niumee in Mriehel and apart from being fully qualified and excellent nail technicians they are also very excited about scalp micropigmentation but I will go into detail about that separately.

I thought I would dedicate this blog to say Thank You and for always making me feel great. Niumee is not only a nail parlour but offers a myriad of services including eyebrow shaping and eyebrow tattooing, hairdressing, teeth whitening and so much more – I could go on for a whole day. You may recall me going to the LAUNCH PARTY and you can click on that blog if you wish to find out all the services they offer right there.

In this blog, I will concentrate on showing you my beautiful coral coloured nails I had done and the look I wore on this particular day which is a style I wear a lot to work and to run errands – the jeans, shirt and blazer look.

All this look is from the very recent collection at River Island including the shirt, the jeans, the blazer, the rings and the earrings from the accessories section and the pretty bag. Love it all.

Apart from having my nails done here, I think I can confidently say that I have just nailed this look here. What do you think?

  1. Love the nails such a pretty colour. The bag is gorgeous and I may be tempted to have a look at River Island web site. I can never resist a nice handbag. X
