For all of you interested to find a way of losing some weight, here’s one plan I have just tried and tested for 9 days. Forever Living’s Clean 9 or C9 is creating a wave of success for kickstarting health and weight loss, that everyone is asking about it. From pop stars such as Victoria Beckham recommending the Aloe Vera diet to celebrities and top sports stars – this has just increased people’s interest and. After my cruise holiday, and lots of excessive food and drink intake, I decided to try it out and so did my husband.
What is this C9 Plan?
It is a plan by Forever Living designed to help you achieve true and lasting weight management. In conjunction with a minimum of 30 minutes of exercise (whatever you choose it to be), it has fantastic results. You will feel and look better.
How to take on the C9 Challenge
Firstly, pick a 9 day sequence when you don’t have any parties or celebrations!
The 9 days are split into two parts:
– an initial two days when you consume the protein and nutrition shakes as a food replacement, Therm tablets to beat your tea and coffee cravings in a naturally inspired way, plus Garcinia to help beat the sweet-tooth carvings.
– followed by a further 7 days when you are allowed to eat a 600 calorie meal. However, if you are very active – a sports player or have an active job, such as gardening, then you might want to increase that to 800 to 1000 calories.
How does it work – scientifically
In the first two days we are living on a more or less liquid diet of high nutrition and low calories. At the same time, we drink loads of Aloe Vera Gel to clean our system of toxins. Aloe Vera Gel has a history stretching back many thousands of years and has hundreds of studies – all of which show that high quality inner leaf gel is safe and effective in the vast majority of cases. It is always advisable to consult your doctor if you take other medication.
Science explains it as follows: Our fat cells become surrounded by toxins. These toxins come from our convenience or processed diets, toxins in the atmosphere, our homes, our cars and environment. This plan helps to cleanse us from these toxins. You will look and feel better!

My Experience in Brief
Day 1 & 2
I was very excited and full of energy to get started. The plan is simple to follow. I craved my morning coffees terribly but I did not give in. Apart from everything as per the book, I ate vegetables and fruit as per instructions on the Free Foods page. These days, I jogged early morning (pushing my daughter in the pram) for 20 minutes and walked for 20 minutes.
Day 3 & 4
It was exciting to be able to eat a meal of 600 calories. We ate chicken breast and brown rice and some mixed vegetables. Here I jogged for 30 minutes in the morning followed by a 15 minute walk. My tummy started to look flatter and here I had already lost 2 kilos in weight and a couple of inches from my waistline.
Day 5 & 6
This day is personally was very grumpy as I was craving all my favourite foods. It was the weekend and usually I love eating pizza and drinking wine and cocktails. What’s more, I was invited to an event and I only drank water. So proud of myself! So I went on with the plan and in the evening we ate cooked salmon and vegatables at home. Exercised cardio for 30 mins on day 5 and did weight training for one hour on day 6 with personal trainer.
Day 7 & 8
Here I started seeing some more physical differences in my body. I started to get bored of the shake so I made a smoothie with berries which are allowed and skimmed milk. In the evening chicken and rice again. Simple and filling. Lots of fruit when I got cravings for sweets and coffee! Went for a brisk walk in the morning of day 7 and a jog the evening of day 8.
This is the easiest because in your mind, it is the last day and you know you are going to measure and weigh yourself, so I had the usual things as per the C9 Plan plus fresh orange juices and some different vegetables. In the evening again chicken and rice and vegetables. There are various recipes you can do which are found in the booklet, but I’m quite lazy and I like to keep things simple. Went for a 30 minute jog in the morning.
